Work Team Resources
Assemble your team and help families and communities in the U.S. as they clean up, rebuild, and restore following a disaster. PDA's commitment to long-term recovery means there are volunteers needed in locations where there are no longer headlines about the disaster. Typically a team volunteers for a week, offering skilled labor, compassionate hands, and open hearts.
Each PDA-related site is managed separately; use the contact information listed for details about work, lodging, etc. This list of sites does not include communities where the need is being met by local neighbors/volunteers and where teams from outside the area are not requested.
Preparing for your trip
Work Trip Planning Guide – Check it out to get started on preparing for your next mission trip. The planning guide contains information on how to pick a Volunteer Host Site, plan ahead, identify devotional resources, and even how to share the stories from your trip.
List of Volunteer Host Sites – Check out this link to see what PDA Host Sites are accepting Work Group reservations. Identify where you want to serve and contact the Host Site Coordinator for scheduling details. For general questions about all of the PDA Host Sites, contact the PDA Call Center (pda.callcenter@pcusa.org or 866-732-6121).
T-shirts – All of our PDA Host Sites have Blue T-Shirts on site for all work team volunteers. If you are going on a mission trip to a PDA Referral Site or with another organization, you may request shirts several weeks before your trip. Email pda.callcenter@pcusa.org or call 866-732-6121, with information regarding the location and dates you will be serving, contact/mailing information for your congregation and team leader and a list of team members’ sizes (adult S–XXL).
