Interim Unified Agency
About the Interim Unified Agency
The world is changing as poverty, war, and suffering reach historic levels. Domestically, great divisions remain across all aspects of life and government. This is a critical time for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as it seeks to discern God’s will for the future.
The 225th General Assembly of the PC(USA) took steps in 2022 to help guide the denomination on a path forward. A Unification Commission consisting of pastors, presbytery leaders, and young adult advisory delegates was appointed to bring together the Presbyterian Mission Agency and the Office of the General Assembly as a unified agency.
The new Interim Unified Agency is dedicated to pursuing mission and ministry priorities. Led by the Rev. Jihyun Oh, Executive Director and Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, the new agency works to support mid councils, leader development, unifying ministry work, reparative justice, life of the communion, and strategic partnerships.
Committee on the Office of the General Assembly
The Committee on the Office of the General Assembly (COGA) carries out the oversight of the Stated Clerk and Office of the General Assembly. As the Unification Commission continues its work to unify OGA and PMA, this committee's work will sunset as of December 31, 2024.
COGA's last meeting is scheduled to take place on December 19, 2024 at Noon (EST) via Zoom. This meeting will be livestreamed below and can be viewed here or on the livestream's Vimeo page.
