PHS Welcomes New Staff

The Presbyterian Historical Society is thrilled to welcome a new staff member this month!

Ky Evans is joining the Technical Services team at PHS as an Archives Technician.

Ky graduated from Haverford College this past Spring with a B.A. in Linguistics and East Asian Languages and Cultures. Their main interests are the Chinese language and how written records influence the evolution of spoken language. They hope to pursue a PhD in linguistics at some point in the future.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Ky’s language expertise in this role, as it will allow us to take advantage of non-Roman script language enhancements in our catalog and provide better description of materials in Chinese and Japanese," says Elaine Shilstut, the Cataloging and Metadata Librarian here at PHS.

Welcome to the team, Ky!
