The staff at PHS recently formed the PHS Cares Committee. The committee looks for ways to give back to our community through community service, volunteerism and fund raising.
On Saturday, October 22nd, PHS staff and their families participated in Philly Cares Day as Team PHS Cares. Philly Cares Day is a city-wide day of community service sponsored by Greater Philadelphia Cares. Greater Philadelphia Cares supports the creation of vibrant communities by motivating people to volunteer their time, talents, and resources. Thousands of volunteers from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs participate in the marathon day of volunteer service every year. Team PHS Cares helped out at the World Communications Charter School in Center City. We assisted teachers and students with 3 mural projects.
