On June 10, 2021 PHS welcomed editors from The Journal of Presbyterian History who discussed two special issues of the publication.
In 2021, The Journal of Presbyterian History focuses on “The Dynamics of Indigenization” in global Christian communities. JPH Senior Editors James H. Moorhead and Nancy J. Taylor were joined by guest editors Bonnie Sue Lewis, Heather J. Sharkey, and Connie Shemo. The special issues honor Lamin Sanneh (1942-2019), whose scholarship illuminated how Christianity “translated” into diverse global cultures, and feature current research on the historical impact and expression of Presbyterian and Reformed missions in the Middle East, India, Thailand, Congo, China, and Hawaii. Read about the special issues in the Presbyterian News Service.
