Delaware churches partner to provide kitchen space and economic support to entrepreneurs

Innovative use of buildings and property to further mission and ministry and generate new forms of income

The Wilmington Kitchen Collective is a community-based project that provides affordable high-quality commercial kitchen facilities, business development, and economic support to culinary entrepreneurs. Together with its operating partner, Riverfront Ministries, WKC is dedicated to empowering holistic transformation in Wilmington, Delaware.

In partnership with Wilmington Alliance, this project brings the culinary gifts of entrepreneurs to the kitchen spaces of First & Central Presbyterian Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Grace United Methodist Church and Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Faithful Futures: Empowering Mission Through Property and Enterprise is an immersive event hosted by National Capital Presbytery in partnership with Fresh Expressions, that focuses on “missional businesses.” Learn more about the conference here.

On January 28, the PC(USA)’s Office of Innovation and 1001 New Worshiping Communities will host a pre-conference event featuring the Rev. Chelsea Spyres, founder of the Wilmington Kitchen Collective, and the Rev.
