Self-Development of People Sunday

Self-Development of People Sunday is an opportunity for churches to give to the One Great Hour of Sharing, and celebrate the work that we do engaging communities in addressing the issues of poverty and oppression. The Rev. Alonzo Johnson, coordinator for Self-Development of People, shares his thoughts.

Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People (SDOP) celebrated SDOP Sunday in 2024 on March 10. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) partnered with low-income communities nationally, locally, and internationally to impact communities as we seek to eradicate systemic poverty.
