Guide to the Westminster Foundation of the City of Philadelphia Records
Open for research.
The Westminster Foundation of Philadelphia was conceived in 1925 "to provide for the intellectual, social and religious welfare" of University of Pennsylvania and other Philadelphia area students, particularly those who were members of the PCUSA. The Westminster Foundation's Board of Trustees constituted the Committee of the Christian Association of the University, and the Presbyterian Minister to Students at the University served as director of the Foundation. The Rev. Charles Anderson was elected director at the first meeting of the Foundation; he also served as secretary. In 1931 Anderson left Philadelphia to accept a post in Tennessee, and Monroe G. Everett became secretary.
Record Group 80 contains miscellaneous records of the Westminster Foundation, including minutes, correspondence, and reports.
