Guide to the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Temporary Commission on Continuing Education Records
As a result of a Board of Christian Education survey on continuing education, the 178th General Assembly (UPCUSA) (1966) appointed a Temporary Commission on Continuing Education. Its mission was to study the need for continuing education among the clergy and of the Presbyterian Church as a whole. The TCCE sent out questionnaires to ministers, interviewed experts, and read and commissioned background study papers. The TCCE shared information with synods and presbyteries and it reported annually to the General Assembly from 1967-70.
Record Group 72 contains minutes, reports, correspondence, interview transcripts, and study papers relating to the work of the TCCE.
