Biographical Note
David Denny graduated from Dickinson College. He was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Carlisle in 1792 and installed in the pastorate of two Path Valley churches in central Pennsylvania. In 1800 he was called to the pastorate of the Falling Springs Church in Chambersburg, PA, where he served for 38 years. He played a prominent role in the establishment of The Franklin County Bible Society. He died in 1845.
The collection consists of the manuscript of sermon on Isaiah 64:6 preached before the Presbytery of Carlisle meeting at Chambersburg on October 5, 1790.
