Guide to the Ruth Winifred Bradley Papers

Ruth Winifred Bradley was born in 1895 in Castile, New York. She graduated from Cornell University in 1919. In 1922 she was appointed a missionary to Colombia by the PCUSA. On this field she served as an educational missionary, teaching in English and Spanish at the Girls' Day and Boarding School at Barranquilla 1920-1960. She also served at various times as vice-principal and as supervisor of the elementary department of the school. She was a consultant to the primary day schools of the mission in the city and in the country and did educational itineration. She retired in 1960.
This record group consists of the home letters and reports of Ruth Bradley with some school reports. There are Roman Catholic anti-Protestant broadsides. Some of the reports and the broadsides are in Spanish.
