Biographical Note
David Bostwick was born in New Milford, CT. He studied theology with Aaron Burr, Sr. in Newark, and became his assistant. In 1745 he moved to Jamaica, NY to become pastor of the Presbyterian congregation there. In 1756 he accepted a call to the First Presbyterian Church of New York City, where he remained pastor until his death in 1763.
Record Group 312 consists of a 1761 letter by Bostwick on the subject of the Rev. John Wright.
