Guide to the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Board of National Missions Student Summer Service Program Records

The primary purpose of the Student Summer Services Program was to be a volunteer-based student workforce contributing to the goals and strategy of the Board of National Missions. The summer programs for young people included junior high camps, senior high and older youth conferences and service projects for high school and college age young people. Approximately 30,000 young people participated in these programs each summer during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
The bulk of the collection consists of subject files and their relating correspondence. The remainder of the collection includes reports, evaluations, and program budgets.
