Guide to the Paul Doltz Papers
Open for research.
Paul Doltz was appointed to the Philippine Mission with his wife, Clara McDermid Doltz, in 1902, upon his graduation from Princeton Theological Seminary. They were assigned to the Ioloilo Station on the Island of Panay where they engaged in evangelistic work until 1916. In 1916 they were transferred to Dumaguete where Mr. Doltz became Vice President and student pastor of Silliman University. The Doltzs retired from mission work in 1936.
The Reverend Doltz's papers document his 34 years of service in the Philippines. The collection contains correspondence, printed materials, sermons, notes and miscellaneous clippings. Also contained are several photo albums and assorted photos, 1902-1935, that reflect on the Doltzs's mission work, their observations on native life and culture and other miscellaneous subjects.
