Biographical Note
James Bovard McBride was born in Bellefonte, PA, in 1820. He graduated from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia in 1844. He spent the next three years as stated supply pastor to Presbyterian churches in North Carolina. In 1847 he was ordained by the Presbytery of Orange. He spent the rest of his career at several different churches in Iowa and Illinois. He died in 1909.
