미국장로교 제225회 총회(2022)에서 구성된 '미국장로교와 인종 특별위원회'는 교회 구조와 문서에 있는 백인 우월주의를 조사하는 임무를 맡고 있습니다. 과거 인종 형평성 건의안을 검토하고, BIPOC((Black/Indigenous/People of Color) 교인들에게 미치는 영향을 평가하며, 저항 패턴을 파악하고, 해결책을 제시합니다. 중간 보고서는 제226회 총회(2024)에 제출되며, 최종 건의안은 제227회 총회(2026)에 제출될 예정입니다.

The Special Committee on the PC(USA) and Race is charged by the 225th General Assembly (2022) to:
- Explore and expose where white supremacy is embedded institutionally and foundationally in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and its governing documents and make recommendations.
- Identify recommendations from previous General Assemblies related to racial equity, dismantling racism, and confronting white supremacy to
- evaluate continued relevancy,
- evaluate impacts on members who are Black/Indigenous/People of Color,
- identify patterns of resistance to implementation, and
- recommend strategies to overcome resistance/challenges to implementation.
- to provide an interim report to the 226th General Assembly (2024) and a report with recommendations to the 227th General Assembly (2026).
Seven Members:
- 4 members at-large
- 3 members from the 2016-2022 Special Committee on Racism Truth and Reconciliation
- must include at least 1 mid council leader
