for Educator Certification Advisors
Educator Certification Advisors are critical in the certification and endorsement processes of educators. Educator Certification Advisors serve as the liaison to the presbytery, the Educator Certification Committee, and the educator. Certification Advisors also serve in an advocacy role with local church sessions and, occasionally, with the presbytery.

Christian Education Associate (CEA) Detailed Process
Part of our task of an Educator Certification Advisor is to promote the process for certification of Certified Christian Educators (CCE) and endorsement of Christian Education Associates (CEA). The CEA process has recently been revamped and the revisions have made the process even more accessible to all people involved in educational ministry in PC(USA) churches. The following resources are provided to assist you in promoting this opportunity with those throughout your presbytery.
- The following slide presentation and script are provided to present the new CEA process and requirements at a presbytery meeting, to presbytery committees related to educational ministry or preparation for ministry, and to groups of church educators (volunteer or professional).
