Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
Florida Army National Guard Soldiers and Pensacola Police Department Police Officers conduct joint route clearance operations after the damage made by Hurricane Isaias.

Hurricane Isaias, a Category 3 storm, made landfall near Destin, Florida on October 9th. PDA is in communication with the affected presbyteries to help determine the best local response. We are grateful for our regional network, Florida Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Network (FLAPDAN), which helps all Florida presbyteries better prepare for disasters and enhances strategic response.

Emergency grants have been approved to meet immediate unmet needs in the community such as food, shelter, hygiene kits and much more. PDA will remain as the long-term recovery phase begins, assisting with grants, emotional and spiritual care, National Response Team deployments, trainings and more, as the needs are determined.
