Since its March premiere, Evicting the American Dream has been screened in cities across the U.S.—including Louisville KY, Dayton OH, Atlanta GA, Washington D.C., and the Bay Area—accompanied by panel discussions and brainstorming sessions with local leaders, organizations, and faith groups addressing eviction and homelessness.
Grassroots screenings help expand the reach of the documentary, giving wider audiences a chance to engage with the film and learn about the local context. Meanwhile, local preview events create a space for community leaders to watch the film and explore ways to connect with organizations already doing on-the-ground work. These previews often serve as a springboard for organizing larger, more impactful screenings.

In May 2025, a series of screenings and previews were hosted in the Bay Area. Rev. Hardy Kim, pastor at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church and PDA Advisory Board member, led a screening and lifted the importance of these conversations with those in the community doing the work.
“We end up building relationships with folks outside of the (church) community who might otherwise not have anything to do with us. It’s another way PDA and the denominational work enhances our work at a local level.”

The Evicting the American Dream documentary has been chosen for worldwide distribution and will be launched on streaming platforms in Fall 2025. You can find more information including the trailer, resource guide, and sign-up link for updates in the following link: pcusa.org/evicting
