This section provides helpful resources for YAVs, YAV alums, and friends of the program to invite young people to serve.

To invite young adults to consider a year of service:

Invite a young adult for a coffee, a meal, a walk …

Many YAVs report that they heard about the YAV program because someone took the time to talk to them about it. Sit down with a young adult and listen to how they are discerning God’s call in their life. Explore with them whether a YAV year could be a part of their discernment journey.

Request a YAV staff or YAV alum to come speak at your church

There are over 1,700 Young Adult Volunteer Alums all over the country. We are happy to help find an alum to speak to your college group, congregation, or any helpful event! For more info, email Destini Hodges at destini.hodges@pcusa.org or call 800-728-7223, ext. 5300.

Have YAV materials available at your events
