Entonces uno de ellos, al ver que había sido sanado, volvió alabando a Dios a voz en cuello, y rostro en tierra se arrojó a los pies de Jesús y le dio las gracias. Este hombre era samaritano. – Lucas 17:15-16
Sólo uno volvió
y alabó a Dios por la curación
en vez de quedarse callado
o de seguir su camino indiferente.
Sólo uno volvió
y agradeció a Jesús por la intervención
en vez de robarse el crédito
o de atribuírselo a otras fuentes.
Sólo uno volvió
y emprendió su verdadera liberación
en vez de seguir esclavizado
o de perpetuar las barreras existentes.
Sólo uno volvió
y testificó de su transformación
en vez de profesar la xenofobia
o de culpar a los inocentes.
Sólo uno volvió
porque sólo uno se curó
de la debilitante lepra
del aislamiento y la discriminación.

Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. – Luke 17:15-16
Only one turned back
and praised God for the healing action
instead of remaining silent
or going indifferently on his way.
Only one turned back
and thanked Jesus for his intervention
instead of taking the credit
or attributing the deed to someone else.
Only one turned back
and undertook his true liberation
instead of remaining enslaved
or perpetuating existing barriers.
Only one turned back
and testified of his transformation
instead of professing xenophobia
or blaming the victims.
Only one turned back
because only one was cured
from the debilitating leprosy
of isolation and discrimination.
