Jesus sends his disciples

with instructions to proclaim the good news

with words and concrete actions,

with diligence and without excuse.

Where the realm of heaven is near

there is healing and liberation.

Jesus sends his disciples

with instructions to cure the sick,

but we focus on cost and profits,

denying care, using an unfair yardstick.

Where the realm of heaven is near

there is healing and liberation.

Jesus sends his disciples

with instructions to raise the dead,

but we condemn the poor to oblivion,

and bury them with incarceration and neglect.

Where the realm of heaven is near

there is healing and liberation.

Jesus sends his disciples

with instructions to cleanse the lepers,

but we ostracize those who are different,

and allow prejudice and hatred to fester.

Where the realm of heaven is near

there is healing and liberation.

Jesus sends his disciples

with instructions to cast out demons,

but we uphold unjust laws and policies,

and allow corrupt governments to deny freedoms.

Where the realm of heaven is near

there is healing and liberation.

Loving Jesus,

forgive us for disobeying your command,

allowing suffering and hopelessness

to be the daily bread for so many peoples.

Compassionate Jesus,

make us eager to give birth to a new era,

where healing and liberation

are within reach for all peoples.

Vayan y prediquen: ‘El reino de los cielos se ha acercado.’ Sanen enfermos, limpien leprosos, resuciten muertos y expulsen demonios. Den gratuitamente lo que gratuitamente recibieron. – Mateo 10:7-8

Jesús envía a sus discípulos,

encargándoles las buenas nuevas proclamar

con palabras y acciones concretas,

con diligencia y sin excusas presentar.

Donde el reino de los cielos se acerca

hay sanidad y liberación.

Jesús envía a sus discípulos,

encargándoles a los enfermos sanar,

pero nos enfocamos en el costo y las ganancias,

usando criterios injustos para el cuidado negar.

Donde el reino de los cielos se acerca

hay sanidad y liberación.

Jesús envía a sus discípulos,

encargándoles a los muertos resucitar,

pero condenamos a los pobres al olvido,

y con la cárcel y el descuido los solemos enterrar.

Jesús envía a sus discípulos,

encargándoles a los leprosos limpiar,

pero excluimos a quienes son diferentes,

haciendo que el prejuicio y el odio se puedan propagar.

Jesús envía a sus discípulos,

encargándoles a los demonios expulsar,

pero defendemos leyes y políticas injustas,

y permitimos a gobiernos corruptos la libertad denegar.

hay sanidad y liberación.

Jesús amoroso,

perdónanos por desobedecer tu mandato,

permitiendo que el sufrimiento y la desesperanza

sean el pan cotidiano de tantos pueblos.

Jesús compasivo,

danos ansias de parir una nueva era,

donde la sanidad y la liberación

estén al alcance de todos los pueblos.
