About PC(USA)

Domestically, the Presbyterian Hunger Program acts to address root causes of hunger, poverty, and oppression in our farm and food systems. Using capacity and movement building as our foundational approach, we pursue the goal of ending systemic poverty and structural racism, which lead to hunger, through two interrelated areas: achieving fair wages and worker rights, and building just and sustainable local/regional food economies. We invite you to act alongside us for fair compensation — through onefairwage.org, fightfor$15.org, other living wage campaigns, and calling on Wendy’s to join the Fair Food Program; and for food sovereignty — through advocacy on the Farm Bill in Congress as you read and download the PC(USA)’s Eater’s Guide to the Farm Bill and through calling for regulation of  factory farming.
