The 219th General Assembly (2010) of the PC(USA) called upon all congregations and worshiping communities to become HIV and Aids-competent churches. That means raising awareness and offering support and empowerment by addressing HIV and AIDS in sermons, in prayers and through ongoing educational and service opportunities.
