Daily Readings

1   새 노래로 여호와께 노래하라 온 땅이여 여호와께 노래할지어다
2   여호와께 노래하여 그의 이름을 송축하며 그의 구원을 날마다 전파할지어다
3   그의 영광을 백성들 가운데에, 그의 기이한 행적을 만민 가운데에 선포할지어다
4   여호와는 위대하시니 지극히 찬양할 것이요 모든 신들보다 경외할 것임이여
5   만국의 모든 신들은 우상들이지만 여호와께서는 하늘을 지으셨음이로다
6   존귀와 위엄이 그의 앞에 있으며 능력과 아름다움이 그의 성소에 있도다
7   만국의 족속들아 영광과 권능을 여호와께 돌릴지어다 여호와께 돌릴지어다
8   여호와의 이름에 합당한 영광을 그에게 돌릴지어다 예물을 들고 그의 궁정에 들어갈지어다
9   아름답고 거룩한 것으로 여호와께 예배할지어다 온 땅이여 그 앞에서 떨지어다
10   모든 나라 가운데서 이르기를 여호와께서 다스리시니 세계가 굳게 서고 흔들리지 않으리라 그가 만민을 공평하게 심판하시리라 할지로다
11   하늘은 기뻐하고 땅은 즐거워하며 바다와 거기에 충만한 것이 외치고
12   밭과 그 가운데에 있는 모든 것은 즐거워할지로다 그 때 숲의 모든 나무들이 여호와 앞에서 즐거이 노래하리니
13   그가 임하시되 땅을 심판하러 임하실 것임이라 그가 의로 세계를 심판하시며 그의 진실하심으로 백성을 심판하시리로다

제 148 편

1   할렐루야 하늘에서 여호와를 찬양하며 높은 데서 그를 찬양할지어다
2   그의 모든 천사여 찬양하며 모든 군대여 그를 찬양할지어다
3   해와 달아 그를 찬양하며 밝은 별들아 다 그를 찬양할지어다
4   하늘의 하늘도 그를 찬양하며 하늘 위에 있는 물들도 그를 찬양할지어다
5   그것들이 여호와의 이름을 찬양함은 그가 명령하시므로 지음을 받았음이로다
6   그가 또 그것들을 영원히 세우시고 폐하지 못할 명령을 정하셨도다
7   너희 용들과 바다여 땅에서 여호와를 찬양하라
8   불과 우박과 눈과 안개와 그의 말씀을 따르는 광풍이며
9   산들과 모든 작은 산과 과수와 모든 백향목이며
10   짐승과 모든 가축과 기는 것과 나는 새며
11   세상의 왕들과 모든 백성들과 고관들과 땅의 모든 재판관들이며
12   총각과 처녀와 노인과 아이들아
13   여호와의 이름을 찬양할지어다 그의 이름이 홀로 높으시며 그의 영광이 땅과 하늘 위에 뛰어나심이로다
14   그가 그의 백성의 뿔을 높이셨으니 그는 모든 성도 곧 그를 가까이 하는 백성 이스라엘 자손의 찬양 받을 이시로다 할렐루야

¹⁵  Thus says the LORD:
     A voice is heard in Ramah,
          lamentation and bitter weeping.
     Rachel is weeping for her children;
          she refuses to be comforted for her children,
          because they are no more.
¹⁶  Thus says the LORD:
     Keep your voice from weeping,
          and your eyes from tears;
     for there is a reward for your work,
                                                            says the LORD:
          they shall come back from the land of the enemy;
¹⁷  there is hope for your future,
                                                            says the LORD:
          your children shall come back to their own country.

¹⁸  Indeed I heard Ephraim pleading:
     “You disciplined me, and I took the discipline;
          I was like a calf untrained.
     Bring me back, let me come back,
          for you are the LORD my God.
¹⁹  For after I had turned away I repented;
          and after I was discovered, I struck my thigh;
     I was ashamed, and I was dismayed
          because I bore the disgrace of my youth.”
²⁰  Is Ephraim my dear son?
          Is he the child I delight in?
     As often as I speak against him,
          I still remember him.
     Therefore I am deeply moved for him;
          I will surely have mercy on him,
                                                            says the LORD.

²¹  Set up road markers for yourself,
          make yourself signposts;
     consider well the highway,
          the road by which you went.
     Return, O virgin Israel,
          return to these your cities.
²²  How long will you waver,
          O faithless daughter?
     For the LORD has created a new thing on the earth:
          a woman encompasses a man.

¹So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ²Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, ³for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

⁵Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). ⁶On account of these the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient. ⁷These are the ways you also once followed, when you were living that life. ⁸But now you must get rid of all such things — anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive language from your mouth. ⁹Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices ¹⁰and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. ¹¹In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all!

¹After Jesus had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. ²A centurion there had a slave whom he valued highly, and who was ill and close to death. ³When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him, asking him to come and heal his slave. ⁴When they came to Jesus, they appealed to him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy of having you do this for him, ⁵for he loves our people, and it is he who built our synagogue for us.” ⁶And Jesus went with them, but when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; ⁷therefore I did not presume to come to you. But only speak the word, and let my servant be healed. ⁸For I also am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and the slave does it.” ⁹When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, he said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” ¹⁰When those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.

¹¹Soon afterwards he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went with him. ¹²As he approached the gate of the town, a man who had died was being carried out. He was his mother’s only son, and she was a widow; and with her was a large crowd from the town. ¹³When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” ¹⁴Then he came forward and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, rise!” ¹⁵The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. ¹⁶Fear seized all of them; and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen among us!” and “God has looked favorably on his people!” ¹⁷This word about him spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding country.

제 49 편

고라 자손의 시, 인도자를 따라 부르는 노래

1   뭇 백성들아 이를 들으라 세상의 거민들아 모두 귀를 기울이라
2   귀천 빈부를 막론하고 다 들을지어다
3   내 입은 지혜를 말하겠고 내 마음은 명철을 작은 소리로 읊조리리로다
4   내가 비유에 내 귀를 기울이고 수금으로 나의 오묘한 말을 풀리로다
5   죄악이 나를 따라다니며 나를 에워싸는 환난의 날을 내가 어찌 두려워하랴
6   자기의 재물을 의지하고 부유함을 자랑하는 자는
7   아무도 자기의 형제를 구원하지 못하며 그를 위한 속전을 하나님께 바치지도 못할 것은
8   그들의 생명을 속량하는 값이 너무 엄청나서 영원히 마련하지 못할 것임이니라
9   그가 영원히 살아서 죽음을 보지 않을 것인가
10   그러나 그는 지혜 있는 자도 죽고 어리석고 무지한 자도 함께 망하며 그들의 재물은 남에게 남겨 두고 떠나는 것을 보게 되리로다
11   그러나 그들의 속 생각에 그들의 집은 영원히 있고 그들의 거처는 대대에 이르리라 하여 그들의 토지를 자기 이름으로 부르도다
12   사람은 존귀하나 장구하지 못함이여 멸망하는 짐승 같도다
13   이것이 바로 어리석은 자들의 길이며 그들의 말을 기뻐하는 자들의 종말이로다 (셀라)
14   그들은 양 같이 스올에 두기로 작정되었으니 사망이 그들의 목자일 것이라 정직한 자들이 아침에 그들을 다스리리니 그들의 아름다움은 소멸하고 스올이 그들의 거처가 되리라
15   그러나 하나님은 나를 영접하시리니 이러므로 내 영혼을 스올의 권세에서 건져내시리로다 (셀라)
16   사람이 치부하여 그의 집의 영광이 더할 때에 너는 두려워하지 말지어다
17   그가 죽으매 가져가는 것이 없고 그의 영광이 그를 따라 내려가지 못함이로다
18   그가 비록 생시에 자기를 축하하며 스스로 좋게 함으로 사람들에게 칭찬을 받을지라도
19   그들은 그들의 역대 조상들에게로 돌아가리니 영원히 빛을 보지 못하리로다
20   존귀하나 깨닫지 못하는 사람은 멸망하는 짐승 같도다

제 138 편

다윗의 시

1   내가 전심으로 주께 감사하며 신들 앞에서 주께 찬송하리이다
2   내가 주의 성전을 향하여 예배하며 주의 인자하심과 성실하심으로 말미암아 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 이는 주께서 1)주의 말씀을 주의 모든 이름보다 높게 하셨음이라
3   내가 간구하는 날에 주께서 응답하시고 내 영혼에 힘을 주어 나를 강하게 하셨나이다
4   여호와여 세상의 모든 왕들이 주께 감사할 것은 그들이 주의 입의 말씀을 들음이오며
5   그들이 여호와의 도를 노래할 것은 여호와의 영광이 크심이니이다
6   여호와께서는 높이 계셔도 낮은 자를 굽어살피시며 멀리서도 교만한 자를 아심이니이다
7   내가 환난 중에 다닐지라도 주께서 나를 살아나게 하시고 주의 손을 펴사 내 원수들의 분노를 막으시며 주의 오른손이 나를 구원하시리이다
8   여호와께서 나를 위하여 보상해 주시리이다 여호와여 주의 인자하심이 영원하오니 주의 손으로 지으신 것을 버리지 마옵소서
