One Great Hour of Sharing

One Great Hour of Sharing is the single, largest way that Presbyterians come together every year to work for a better world. Typically received on Easter Sunday, which this year falls on April 20, the annual Offering supports Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People. All three programs work to serve individuals and communities in need to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope. Find resources here on our new website, including worship, curriculum, and minutes for mission. All resources and information for Offering interpretation are present, just organized a bit differently. If you can’t find something you are looking for, email us at special.offerings@pcusa.orgSpecial Offerings dates and seasons in 2025 are available on our website.

Cultivating Community

NEW: A youth-led community garden activity

Community gardens in Presbyterian congregations foster spiritual growth, leadership, environmental awareness, and social responsibility among church members of all ages and local communities.

This activity through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog is designed to inspire and engage entire congregations through the creation of a community garden. The garden provides a way for all ages to connect with the earth, each other, and their faith while growing food, flowers, and relationships. It can begin at your church and then extend to your community, providing a nutritious bounty to members and those in your community.

Tread Lightly for Lent

The Presbyterian Hunger Program strives to walk with people in moving toward sustainable choices that restore and protect all of God’s children and Creation. We must commit to treading lightly on God’s Earth. In Lent, we slow down, take time, and examine our internal spiritual lives and the way we live out our Christian faith in the world around us. Our hope is that this Lenten calendar will be the beginning of actions intended to create more mindful behaviors throughout the year. Visit pcusa.org/treadlightly.
