Salmos 46
1 Dios es nuestro refugio y nuestra fuerza;
5 Dios está en medio de ella, y la sostendrá;
hasta el último rincón del mundo;
Morning Reading 2
Salmos 47
(1) Del maestro de coro. Salmo de los hijos de Coré.
1 (2) ¡Aplaudan, pueblos todos!

2 (3) Porque el Señor, el Altísimo, es terrible;
6 (7) ¡Canten, canten himnos a Dios!
¡Canten, canten himnos a nuestro Rey!
pues él dio una orden y todo fue creado;
¡Aleluya!
First Reading
Isaiah 59:15b-21
15b The LORD saw it, and it displeased him
that there was no justice.
16 He saw that there was no one,
and was appalled that there was no one to intervene;
so his own arm brought him victory,
and his righteousness upheld him.
17 He put on righteousness like a breastplate,
and a helmet of salvation on his head;
he put on garments of vengeance for clothing,
and wrapped himself in fury as in a mantle.
18 According to their deeds, so will he repay;
wrath to his adversaries, requital to his enemies;
to the coastlands he will render requital.
19 So those in the west shall fear the name of the LORD,
and those in the east, his glory;
for he will come like a pent-up stream
that the wind of the LORD drives on.
20 And he will come to Zion as Redeemer,
to those in Jacob who turn from transgression, says the LORD.
21And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says the LORD: my spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouths of your children, or out of the mouths of your children's children, says the LORD, from now on and forever.
Second Reading
Revelation 2:8-17
8“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of the first and the last, who was dead and came to life:
9“I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich. I know the slander on the part of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Beware, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have affliction. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Whoever conquers will not be harmed by the second death.
12“And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword:
13“I know where you are living, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you are holding fast to my name, and you did not deny your faith in me even in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan lives. 14But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the people of Israel, so that they would eat food sacrificed to idols and practice fornication. 15So you also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16Repent then. If not, I will come to you soon and make war against them with the sword of my mouth. 17Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To everyone who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.”
Gospel Reading
John 4:46-54
46Then he came again to Cana in Galilee where he had changed the water into wine. Now there was a royal official whose son lay ill in Capernaum. 47When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 48Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” 49The official said to him, “Sir, come down before my little boy dies.” 50Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started on his way. 51As he was going down, his slaves met him and told him that his child was alive. 52So he asked them the hour when he began to recover, and they said to him, “Yesterday at one in the afternoon the fever left him.” 53The father realized that this was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he himself believed, along with his whole household. 54Now this was the second sign that Jesus did after coming from Judea to Galilee.
Evening Reading 1
Salmos 27
se juntan para atacarme y destruirme;
mi corazón no tendrá miedo;
aunque se preparen para atacarme,
yo permaneceré tranquilo.
4 Sólo una cosa he pedido al Señor,
sólo una cosa deseo:
estar en el templo del Señor
todos los días de mi vida,
para adorarlo en su templo
y contemplar su hermosura.
5 Cuando lleguen los días malos,
el Señor me dará abrigo en su templo;
bajo su sombra me protegerá.
¡Me pondrá a salvo sobre una roca!
6 Entonces podré levantar la cabeza
por encima de mis enemigos;
7 A ti clamo, Señor: escúchame.
Ten compasión de mí, ¡respóndeme!
8 El corazón me dice:
«Busca la presencia del Señor.»
Y yo, Señor, busco tu presencia.
9 ¡No te escondas de mí!
¡No me rechaces con ira!
¡Mi única ayuda eres tú!
No me dejes solo y sin amparo,
pues tú eres mi Dios y salvador.
10 Aunque mi padre y mi madre me abandonen,
tú, Señor, te harás cargo de mí.
11 Señor, muéstrame tu camino;
guíame por el buen camino
a causa de mis enemigos;
12 no me entregues a su voluntad,
pues se han levantado contra mí
testigos falsos y violentos.
¡Ten valor, no te desanimes!
¡Sí, ten confianza en el Señor!
Evening Reading 2
Salmos 93
¡Tú siempre has existido!
3 Oh Señor,
los ríos braman y levantan grandes olas;
Evening Reading 3
Salmos 114
1 Cuando Israel, la casa de Jacob,
salió de Egipto, del país extraño,
2 Judá llegó a ser el santuario del Señor;
Israel llegó a ser su dominio.
3 Cuando el mar vio a Israel, huyó,
y el río Jordán se hizo atrás.
4 ¡Los cerros y las montañas
saltaron como carneros y corderitos!
5 ¿Qué te pasó, mar, que huiste?
¿Qué te pasó, Jordán, que te hiciste atrás?
6 ¿Qué les pasó, cerros y montañas,
que saltaron como carneros y corderitos?
7 ¡Tiembla tú, tierra,
delante del Señor, Dios de Jacob!
8 ¡Él convirtió las peñas en lagunas!
¡Él convirtió las rocas en manantiales!
