A high-level ecumenical delegation representing church organizations will arrive in Juba, South Sudan on Friday, May 2, amidst continuing conflict in the country with an imminent threat of widespread hunger and malnutrition among its people. The delegation will meet with church leaders and government officials, urging immediate actions for peace and reconciliation.
The Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship (PFF) board of directors has chosen the Rev. Richard Haney, of Richmond, Virginia, as the fellowship’s new executive director. He succeeds the Rev. Bill Young, who is retiring.
The famed Riverside Church in Manhattan has recommended the Rev. Amy Butler as its seventh senior minister, the first woman to lead the congregation in its 83-year-old history.

She also has helped organize a group that meets regularly for Bible study and advocacy on immigration issues. Bethel’s pastor, Wendy Neff, is part of the group.
