I was recently contacted by Barbara Spring, a Presbyterian from Grand Haven, Michigan. She wrote to let me know about her book, The Dynamic Great Lakes, which gives a history of the Great Lakes, and an overview of ecological issues related to the lakes. The five interconnected Great Lakes make up the world’s largest freshwater system, and Spring urges the reader to understand the importance of these water bodies and work to protect them.
