Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
After one month of serving in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Office of General Assembly (OGA) as Stated Clerk, it is clear that there are knowledgeable and committed servants of God in our denomination. As you prepare to observe Domestic Violence Awareness month with your congregation this October, we hope that you will take advantage of the many resources that Presbyterians Against Domestic Violence PADVN) has to offer. This year we are lifting up selections from recent resource packets that will include educational presentations, worship resources, sermon ideas, and informative bulletin inserts.
If the presbytery votes on amendments at more than one meeting, you may wait until all votes have been completed and report once, or report after each presbytery meeting—simply copy the form and transmit the votes after each meeting.
The deadline for reporting presbytery votes is June 25, 2017. However, in order to make changes and publish the 2017–19 Book of Order in a timely manner, receipt of votes prior to this deadline would be appreciated.
Download the proposed amendments to the Constitution approved by the 222nd General Assembly (2016) and recommended to the presbyteries for their vote.
