This document is designed to call attention to ongoing efforts by the PC(USA) to confront the underlying causes of climate change, and to resources available through the six agencies to congregations, mid councils, and other mission and ministry groups wishing to join in the effort. This resource from Office of Theology & Worship (TW) provides analysis and theological reflection on the "Reclaiming Jesus" statement. In reviewing the statement, which was issued and signed by leaders in several denominations and organizations, TW found commonality with the basic affirmations of Presbyterian's Reformed faith. Indeed the "Reclaiming Jesus" statement and ensuing movement focuses on "public discipleship." It reclaims who Jesus followers are and what they should do.
