Presbyterians celebrating Earth Day!

One of the things I love most about my work is hearing the amazing stories of so many people and churches doing fabulous ministry, caring for all God's creation. There are so many inspiring stories! There is so much great work being done.

From finding Presbyterians being named as national "Cool Congregations" winners (and runners-up, and honorable mentions) to seeing our Climate and Food Justice poster being sent out by other denominations, to gathering stories of all the wonderful Earth Day Sunday worship services that have happened or will happen, I feel filled with joy and gratitude in this Easter (and Earth Day) season.

Meanwhile, to celebrate today as Earth Day, there was a story on Presbyterian News Services about Earth Day which followed two other congregational spotlights recently: Flagstaff Federated Church and First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca.

Thanks be to God for the amazing work set before us, and for such a great cloud of witnesses. Happy Earth Day to all!
