• Fall 2015 Preaching Pastor’s Conference
A $150,000 grant given to the Pastoral Support Committee of the Sacramento Presbytery in 2014 has enabled Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) teaching elders in good standing with their presbyteries in the Western Five Synods to attend the next three preaching conferences for just $50.
The grant, originally written for the Synod of the Pacific for the “Preaching and Teaching of Ministers in the West” program, has been extended to ministers of the five Western Synods. “We’ve received such a wonderful gift, and it was so hard to get, that we wanted to share this gift with as many clergy as possible,” said the Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson, chair of the Pastoral Support Committee.
The next conference is Oct. 5-7, 2015, at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center located on Lake Tahoe and features the Rev. Dr. Anna Carter Florence from Columbia Seminary. For teaching elders outside the Western Synods the cost is only $250.
The deadline for registration is Sept. 28. More information and a downloadable brochure are available at www.sacpresby.org.
