The Stated Clerk Nomination Committee of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has begun its work. It is to bring a nomination for the denomination’s highest ecclesiastical officer, the Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, to the 222nd General Assembly (2016) in Portland, Oregon, June 18–25, 2016.
It is the committee’s hope and prayer to bring to the assembly the strongest possible nominee for this important position, and therefore it is seeking assistance as it discerns the qualities and characteristics most needed in this office.
