Join Larissa Kwong Abazia, Vice Moderator of the 221st General Assembly (2014) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.); and Wilson Kennedy, a member of the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly; in two upcoming Twitter chats about the identity and purpose of the PC(USA).
They’ll be @LarissaLKA and @wmkennedy using the hashtag #pcusaidentity on:
Thursday, December 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (EST)
Tuesday, December 15 at 9-10 p.m. (EST)
Both chats are part of the churchwide conversation the denomination is invited to engage in between now and the 222nd General Assembly (2016), June 18–25, in Portland, Oregon. The Committee on the Office of the General Assembly is asking the church to dialogue in various ways, including sharing views online at pcusa.org/identity until December 18; gathering individually or in groups; and conversing on social media. The 222nd General Assembly (2016) will use much of that information to discern future steps for the denomination.
