EAGAN, Minn. — The Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area will conduct a Healthy Boundaries Training Event April 24 at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater, Minn. The training runs from 8:30 to 3 p.m. and costs $30, which will cover a continental breakfast, materials and lunch. The training is required for teaching elders who have not completed Level I training.
The training is presented two times a year, in April and October, by the Advocates for Integrity in Ministry Committee of the presbytery. New incoming teaching elders have a year from their reception into the presbytery to fulfill the requirement. Congregations are encouraged to send teaching and ruling elders, deacons, congregational staff, Christian educators and any other persons engaged in any form of ministry in or on behalf of the congregation.
All participants are required to attend the entire day of training, from opening welcome and worship through closing, or no credit will be given.
Attendees must register before noon on April 22. Those planning to attend must send an email to Risa Anderson at office@ptcaweb.org indicating desire to attend, name, contact information and any dietary restrictions. Payment for the training will be collected at the event. Only checks and cash will be accepted.
Questions regarding the training can be sent by email to Anna Kendig or Peter Soulen, co-chairs of the AIM Committee.
