The Rev. Jon Moore, a donor ministry professional with two decades of experience in funds development, philanthropy, and stewardship, has joined the Presbyterian Mission Agency as a mission engagement advisor.
In this role, Moore will develop and execute funds development strategies to support the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s goal of establishing 1,001 new worshiping communities over the next 10 years.
“We are encouraged so many Presbyterians across the country have embraced this initiative with enthusiasm and creativity,” said Roger Dermody, the Presbyterian Mission Agency’s deputy executive director for mission. “Clearly, God is blessing this movement beyond our wildest dreams as we participate together, and one very important way to participate is by committing financial resources to this movement that is engaging our culture and making and forming new disciples of Jesus Christ.”
Prior to joining the mission agency, Moore developed and served in donor ministries at Fuller Theological Seminary, ChinaSource, and Church Resource Ministries (CRM). He also spent 15 years in marketing and management in business and politics.
Moore is an M.Div. graduate of Fuller Seminary, a PC(USA) teaching elder, and a member of Los Ranchos Presbytery. He and his wife, Mia, a widely admired mixed media artist, live in Laguna Beach, Calif.
