The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is deeply saddened by the devastation that has occurred in Colorado, but finds hope in the renewing and restoring work of God. Please join us in prayer for the people of Colorado, and all of God’s creation there.
Lord, we lift our eyes to the mountains
and pray for your help as the floods rage.
Speak peace to your creation:
bring order out of this chaos
and put the rivers back in their place.
Be with those who pass through the waters:
call them by name, and let them know
that their redeemer is near.
Shelter those who have lost so much:
surround and support them
with communities of love and care.
Help those who offer rescue and relief:
strengthen and steady their hands
as they reach out to others.
In this and every time of trouble
let your church bear witness
to the firm foundation of our faith,
Jesus Christ our Savior,
in whose holy name we pray.

Stated Clerk of the General Assembly
