We Believe, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) denominational curriculum developed by Congregational Ministries Publishing, is offering new supplemental resources to its children’s curriculum line.
Beginning fall 2013, Christian educators and teachers will find bonus learning activities for each quarter of We Believe on the curriculum website, webelieve.pcusa.org. These activities are a wonderful complement to the Bible stories being taught and are appropriate for learners in grades K–6. Web-based, interactive resources will also be available on the curriculum website.
“Teachers of Younger Elementary, Older Elementary, Multiage, and Tweens will find easy access to the We Believe website, as well as suggestions for using the interactive resources,” said Mark Hinds, general editor, Congregational Ministries Publishing. “In the fall, as children study Paul’s letters, they can access the interactive map for fun explorations of the cities Paul wrote to.”
The Catechism Connection Color Pack is also new for fall 2013. Complete with 60 colorful pictures, each depicting a question from Belonging to God: A First Catechism, this valuable resource is a fun and easy way for children to learn the catechism. The Catechism Connection Color Pack is non-dated, so customers can purchase it once and use it year after year.
We Believe engages children in biblical stories shared in a variety of ways and is rooted in Reformed tradition. The Teacher’s Book consists of easy-to-use lesson plans in a worship-oriented format and age-appropriate activities, many of which require minimal preparation and supplies. Color materials are included in the Teacher’s Book for one low, budget-friendly price.
We Believe is offered for Younger Elementary, grades K–2; Older Elementary, grades 3–4; Multiage, grades K–5; Tweens, grades 5–6; and Younger Youth, grades 7–8 (9).
