Montreat Conference Center announces its Summer Worship Series
The worship services, which are offered each Sunday from June 4 through Aug. 6 in Anderson Auditorium, will also be livestreamed
Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina, has announced its Summer Worship Series for 2023. Services are held in Anderson Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time beginning on June 4 and running each Sunday through Aug. 6. The services will be livestreamed ">here.
Montreat describes its weekly worship services this way: “Each Sunday morning in the summer season, the community gathers to worship the living God with prayer, singing, artistic expressions and the Word proclaimed.”
Here’s the lineup of scheduled preachers:
- June 4 — Dr. Robert Gamble, executive director of This Child Here, which provides aid and trauma-based programs to families displaced by the war in Ukraine. This Child Here is a validated ministry of the Presbytery of Western North Carolina.
- June 11 — Dr. Ryan V. Moore, senior pastor and head of staff at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
- June 18 — The Rev. Dr. Peter Henry, head of staff at Davidson College Presbyterian Church in Davidson, North Carolina.
- June 25 — The Rev. Anna George Traynham, senior pastor at Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
- July 2 — The Rev. Dr. Khalia J. Williams, Associate Dean of Worship and Spiritual Formation at the Candler School of Theology and the associate minister at Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta.
- July 9 — The Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo, president of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.
- July 16 — The Rev. Dr. David A. Davis, senior pastor at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, New Jersey.
- July 23 — The Rev. Dr. Asa J. Lee, president of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
- July 30 — The Rev. Kate Murphy, pastor of The Grove Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 6 — The Rev. Gail Henderson-Belsito, associate minister of Caldwell Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
