The beginning of the 1990s were decisive for the beginning of the organization of Hispanic women. Two Regional Encounters were held — in the Eastern and Southwestern areas of the United States — and culminated in 1995 with a national assembly, where the organization officially took the name of "Latino Hispanic Presbyterian Women" (“Mujeres Hispanas Latinas Presbiterianas”).
