J. Herbert Nelson weighs in on digital General Assembly
Stated Clerk says it’s time to make a shift in how we think as a 21st century church
For nearly two months, the Office of the General Assembly has been working on how to conduct the 224th General Assembly (2020) in the midst of a pandemic. The COVID-19 virus derailed plans for a full assembly gathering in Baltimore next month and work continues to prepare for an online assembly with a shortened agenda.
The Reverend Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the PC(USA), says it’s an opportunity to consider a new way of being church in the 21st century.
