Bob Abrams: Celebrating the first 100 years
Presbyterian minister looks back on life of service to the church
Meeting Bob Abrams is like catching up with a life-long family friend. The retired Presbyterian pastor has never met a stranger and is always ready to sit down and chat about everything from his time in the Navy, adventures in golf and the mission field, to his work as volunteer coordinator for Presbyterian Men.
Even after retiring “several times” over the years, Abrams has always found a way to serve and enjoy life, including celebrating his 95th birthday with a ride in a glider.
July 31 marked Abrams’ 100th birthday and he recently took time to sit down with his colleagues in the Office of the General Assembly to reflect on what he calls a blessed life.
