Interfaith Power and Light (IPL) is sponsoring a National Preach-In on Global Warming on the weekend of February 13-14. The organization, which works to mobilize a religious response to global warming by promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and conservation, is asking houses of worship to preach on global warming on the 14th, and/or host a program or discussion about global warming. To register your church for to participate in the Preach-In, or to learn more about the event, visit IPL's website. IPL will offer resources and sample sermons to congregations that have registered for the event.
The Preach-In is being held on Valentine's Day weekend as action against global warming goes hand in hand with loving your neighbor and loving creation.
