General Information

The ymiLIVE initiative is a wonderful opportunity for youth and adults to connect within the local church and across the entire church. ymiLIVE is a social networking site for all Presbyterians to connect and engage with others on issues that are most important: family, friends, faith, mission and ministry. A key feature with the initial launch is a video challenge for youth groups. Three youth groups will receive a $25,000 endowment fund to support youth ministry at their church. Check out this new tool from the Presbyterian Foundation.

Linda Lebron encouraged the Society of St. Andrew to contact me about its vacation Bible school. The Society of St. Andrew is a member of the Alliance to End Hunger. It describes itself as “a Christian ministry dedicated to gleaning America’s fields and feeding America’s hungry, we provide healthy, nutritious produce to society’s most vulnerable through innovative, cost effective programs.” The society provided me with 20 copies of its VBS. It is here for the first 20 people who contact us. You may also get more information from the End Hunger Web site.

For more information, contact Jennifer Vestal Moore, director of church relations, Society of St. Andrew, (800) 33-4597, or email.

I’ve received several mailings from Mission Interpretation: a flier on the 2009 Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study, a flier with information about supporting the Presbyterian mission year-round through the special offerings and a CD with free promotional resources for the Presbyterian Planning Calendar, Pentecost Offering, and the Peacemaking Offering. Please share these with others if they have not received
