2008 Peacemaking Offering to your congregation. Stories about
how congregations, presbyteries, and the General Assembly’s
Peacemaking Program are involved in peacemaking activities and
how they are using Peacemaking Offering funds are found in the
bulletin inserts and minutes for mission. Worship suggestions,
ideas for teaching children about peacemaking, information about
this year’s adult peacemaking resource, and many other
items are available for downloading and/or ordering. Look through
what is available and decide what is useful to you and your
congregation.

Adult Peacemaking Resource
To Strengthen Christ’s Body: Tools for Talking about
Tough Issues
 This
seven-session resource identifies and explores basic concepts and tools that
can help address the conflict and disagreements that are a part of everyday life.
Through prayer, Bible study, discussion, and skill building, participants will
consider ways to approach conflict that increase the possibility that the
experience will be an enlightening, constructive, and creative
one where we discover God’s grace, and the body of Christ
is strengthened. $5.00.

Envelopes
Coin boxes, posters, place mats for potluck meals, and offering
envelopes are available from Presbyterian Distribution Service. Reminder postcards
with a message about the Peacemaking Offering can be sent to every member. Use
these tools to help display and promote the Offering to members of the congregation.
