The Restricted Funds Oversight Subcommittee (RFOC) was created in 1997 in response to GA action. At the time, some funds were accumulating and not being used. The goal was to ensure that all funds were being used, especially those for which the GAC had no current program.
The application process overseen by the RFOC concerns only funds for use in the United States and Puerto Rico. Domestic funds existing in 1997, but not used in the mission budget, and domestic funds created since 1997 are known as “Unassigned Funds.” The RFOC deals primarily with “Unassigned Funds.”
The application process is repeated on an annual basis in early March, and at that time, a complete set of instructions, and the list of Unassigned Funds for 2008 will appear on the Web site. |
