Seeing In Depth
A statistical presentation of Black Presbyterian churches 1997 - 2006
Our minds contain a set of assumptions about the world and the objects that exist in it. This set of assumptions is so deeply ingrained in the human brain that people impose them instantaneously, automatically and unconsciously on the visual data stream of the eyes.
Statistics are a way to see our world. Our ability to interpret the following statistics is limited to our assumptions about what is important, how things are related and what our expectations of the church are.
Did you know?
- There are 72,227 Black Presbyterians.
- 52,133 Black Presbyterians are members of Black churches.
- 72 percent of Black Presbyterians are members of Black churches.
- 28 percent of Black Presbyterians are not members of Black churches.
